About the Artist
Russill’s musical sensibilities began to evolve as a child and later in the world of contemporary film music. He took a detour from his musical career to live as a monk in a monastery in South India for five years where he practiced this ancient art form. He now performs lectures and teaches worldwide.

Shakti Yoga
If you practice yoga and you want the ideal music to do it with, almost anything by Russill Paul fills the bill. I've done hatha yoga over the years and started doing kundalini yoga 5 months ago. I took a chance on this album and it's GREAT to do kundalini yoga to. "BHAVA YOGA" and "NADA YOGA" are also great music to aid in kundalini practice. The "SHABDA YOGA" album is excellent but probably not so for doing the static asanas of hatha yoga or the dynamic movements of kundalini. I stumbled on a goldmine when I found the music of Russill Paul.

An excellent recording of sacred mantras designed to stimulate the rise of kundalini to accelerate spiritual progress and stimulate healing on the physical, mental and astral planes. A must for any collector of sacred mantra. I frequently play the music during a workout on my exercise bike and notice afterward that I am not at all fatigued. Highly recommended!

Worth buying - An absolute experience
The first title track is really awesome..I am yet to hear the others. I heard of the "om nama shivaya" song as a background track to a video on youtube. I was hooked. But, I wanted a high quality mp3 version and this album gives you that. Really, shakes you up inside out.. this song.. in a wonderful way. My first review on amazon and really felt like giving one.
