Awesome power
Two CDs. One music CD that is great for relaxing, massage or using as background for your own meditations. I use it occasionally in my weekly meditation group that I lead. Second CD is awesome. Dr. Chopra leads you through the 7 main Chakras, explains what they correlate to and guides your meditation to actually balance any / all of them. I got great results during the first session and I use it often.

Music takes you away
The music CD is wonderful. I see beautiful energies of colored lights while meditating to it. I always picture myself at the beach with quiet meditations so adding this music is perfect because it's mellow with waves rolling in and birds chirping. The chakra meditation CD is good but the music CD is excellent.

Chopra is good, but music ruins it.
The "all music" CD is far too up-tempo and distracting for meditation: far too much going on - very distracting. It's a one-star CD, maybe 2 if I'm feeling generous.

On the other CD, Chopra's discussion of the Chakras and the 5 or 7 minutes of wafting sound that follows each discussion is absolutely great. Unfortunately before they launch into the next Chakra, they have some music similar to the "all music" CD, which is EXTREMELY jarring, and interrupts of the calmness that had been established. I think this is by design, to pull you out of your reverie to take in Chopra's next message... but for me, I'd rather they didn't. Nonetheless I could see 4 stars on this one.

Combining the two and considering the price, the best I can do is three stars, and that's being generous.

However, I would recommend it to you IF you are into the whole Chakra thing, and if you wanted something to spend an hour with during a long lunch break: the distracting music wouldn't let you doze off completely, and Chopra's voice is very soothing and just seems trustworthy for some reason; in that sense I could see some people enjoying it much more than I did.
