too bulky
This product is way too bulky and does not have a clip to attach to a belt.
You have to wear a special strap which makes you look like a tourist on the subway.
Don't buy it.

Protects and has the arm strap for gym, but you can't access buttons!
Overall I'd say the case is ok. I have a w580i, and like to take it to the gym, to listen to music while working out. My only problem with it: You can't access the skip button while working out. Meaning you must set up your playlist before you start your work out, otherwise you'll have to try to open the case, pull the phone out, press the button and shake to skip, then return it to the case. Try to do that while spinning on an elliptical, and it can get tricky (& dangerous!). I've thought about using a hole puncher through the fabric so I can expose the button, but it seems the hard plastic exoskeleton is still in the way. Major flaw in design if you ask me. This is not convenient for the gym, like I said, unless you have a playlist set up. (Which I just can't be bothered to take the time to create and maintain). Wish there was another to choose from, maybe I'll sew up one myself and market it. hahahah
p.s. and what's with the extra inch of velcro down the front? It looks kind of ghetto and poorly designed. Wish SONY could have done better. Anyone have suggestions for a different brand sport case that fits the w580i?

worked good for me!!!
i ordered this case so i could jog at the gym and listen to my sony ecricson w580i. i use it strapped to my arm and it works great. this case is for the slider type phones not flip phones.
