With lush production by Christian Cassan, Supernova hints at the producer’s fondness for the Beatles – the legendary band’s musical style, as well as their sonic experimentation in the studio. Instrumentation such as pedal steel, trumpet, and accordion treats the listener to Cassan’s sophisticated approach to producing. However, simple guitar/vocal arrangements are also featured as an ode to Hall’s acoustic roots. Supernova is a day in the life of anyone who has ever loved and lost, but like the mythical phoenix, found the strength to rise again, and to love again.

great fusion songs
This is a great CD with a collection of songs inspired by different influences focusing on vocals, and with some pop (which enhances the effect rather detract from it). Carla's voice is strong and confident and the songs are a treat to listen to. I particularly liked Left side blues, blue-sy, pop-sy with good musical accompaniment..

Soulful Blues Pop AWSOME!
This sound is both sexy and strong! Carla has created something that reflects a unique vibe. It is oozing with authenticity but mixed with just enough familiar pop sound to draw you in and keep you there! Her vocals are crisp and powerful and her lyrics reflect the strength a woman gets from being independent and self fulfilled ...this is the kind of song that you have to move your head up and down...and want to hear it again and again cuz it feels so good!

Terrific new talent
As a fan of Norah Jones, Sade and especially The Beatles I was very intrigued to listen to this young lady I'd been hearing about. Clearly she has paid attention to her influences and put together quite an album of great songs, sung beautifully with superb musicians who are, indeed, reminiscent of the Beatles -- after seeing a recent Fab Faux show those sound bits are really in my head. Great job, and I look forward to hearing more from this lovely and talented artist.
