Jeno Hubay 1858-1937 was the Founder of the in the 19th Century famous hungarian Violin School , his first 2 Concertos are realy romantik and melodious Concertos, his Concertos 3 & 4 are more only Virtous Pieces, witch will not satisfay the normal Listener, -so the followig Hyperion CD is perhaps the better choice, but the Soundquality and the Interpretation of the Concertos is better on this CD

Carl Reinecke 1824-1910, a quite pleasing Violin Concerto,- excellent recorded

Joseph Joachim 1831-1907, I am a little bit disapointed by this in the 19th Century very popular Concerto ,but its worth a Listen , - its called by Joachim the Hungarian Concerto ,- so its also worth to listen to the hungarian concertos by Hubay

The perhahaps two most beautiful Violin Concertos together on one CD , Mendelssohn and Beethoven, but I agree with one Review here , its perhaps not the best Interpretation and Performance of this Concertos, but the Soundquality is very good

Julius Roentgen 1855-1932, quite listenable , also the Concertpiece by Chausson,- here is also the 3rd Hubay Concerto , witch is not my case,- but the Röntgen Concerto is quite good

Here is 1 Symphonia Concertante for Violin and Harp by Louis Sphor, beautiful Music

One essential romantic Concerto , but his most memorable Work is the Mazurka for Violin and Orchestera , not on this CD , -see also my List with Violin, Viola , Cello and Double Bass Concertos

This is a very good Release of the Dvorak Concerto and some Showepieces by Sarasate and the Mazurka by Dvorak for Violin and Orchestra

most of theses concertos are of the beginning of the 20th Century, so only the Glazunov Concerto is in the timespan of this List

Mozart Pupil Johann Nepomuk Hummel 1778-1837 , quite good ,but this is also more recommended for Lovers of the Mozart Concertos

Mozart Contemporary Antonio Rosetti 1750-1792

A Rarety , a Violin Concerto by Michael Haydn the Brother of Josef , who has writen very beautiful Symphonies too, but this Violin Concerto is also quite good, it has perhaps not quite the high Standart , as his Symphonies , witch you can find in my List with 18th Century Symphonies , contemporaries of Mozart

Henri Vieuxtemps 1820-1881 , all 7 concertos are avaiable on Naxos

The MDG Release, a god interpretation and performance of the 3rd Concerto by Bruch, and the Symphony is also listenable

one of the better CDs one the new series on Hyperion with romantic violin concertos
