Shure had a demo of this mic where they would hammer a nail into a board with it and then plug it in to show that it still worked perfectly!
If you're planning on recording music its a good idea to have a couple of these.

Buy new: $549.00 / Used from: $395.00 A nice condenser mic. it sounds good for vocals, guitar and such.
condenser mics are more sensitive than dynamics like the sm57, but because its made by shure, it passes a 10 foot drop test!
(something no other large diaphram condenser can do, that i know of.)
