The Best!
The tree is simple and beautiful. The best style I have ever seen.

The mugs far exceeded my expectations. Here's why:
I have a child who likes to help with dishes, so things get bumped sometimes. Over the years I have tried earthenware, stoneware, porcelain, tempered glass and PYREX (borosilicate glass).
Earthenware is porous. The colors will fade or chip. Since it is fired at a low temperature, it is not very strong. Not always microwave or dishwasher safe. I am never using earthenware again.
Stoneware normally looks great on the outside. Since it is not as dense as porcelain, overtime the inside of the mugs (or the outside of the dishes) tend to loose its shine and will crack if bumped. Not always microwavable.
Porcelain is the most beautiful and long lasting if handled carefully, but may crack or break if bumped. Microwavable and dishwasher safe.
Nicely designed tempered glass looks great and is heat and break-resistent and microwavable. However, the choices are so limited.
PYREX, oh, I wish they will break more easily, because they look so bad (just like test tubes) that I don't want them anymore.

These Bodum mugs are made of HEAVY porcelain. So they have the shine of porcelain (and very slight translucency at the rims under the sun). And yes, we bumped them several times. They are study.

An added bonus is that those mugs are just perfect for the Senseo machine, better than Senseo supplied thermos. A frothing cup of coffee in a heavy white porcelain mug is just the thing for mornings.

Mug Set
This is a nice set. Mugs are a good size and weight.
Not dinky little tea cups. Takes up a minimal amount
of space on the counter and looks good.

Heavy Cups, decent cup stand
The cups are heavy and huge. The cup stand is beautiful. The cups are brittle and break easily.
