![]() | Too High to Die by Meat Puppets
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $0.95 this is probably my favorite meat puppets. country, punk, rock, highly melodious folky tunes with intense rhythms countered by simple musings sung with an almost childlike sincerity...its all in there

![]() | Superfly by Curtis Mayfield
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $7.48 curtis mayfield's best... listen to this twice and your head will magically don a feathered pimp hat which will bounce, along with your head, to this soulful chastizing of hustlers, dealers, and junkies.
![]() | Cocaine Rodeo by Mondo Generator
Buy new: $13.98 / Used from: $4.99 a madman artist doing his thing. if you like heavy music, you'll probably dig this. but to be honest, im not sure what category he falls into... i guess that means he doesnt.
![]() | Aja by Steely Dan
Buy new: $7.97 / Used from: $3.75 these guys were smart. they always hired the best studio drummers... purdie, gadd, and porcaro. porcaro is not on this one.... purdie does his trademark shuffle on "home at last".... and steve gadd shines like a star on the title track. if you like good drumming thats subtle, look no further.
![]() | Chutes Too Narrow by The Shins
Buy new: $13.99 / Used from: $4.94 this album is brilliant. the others are pretty good too but this is the one. touching on several genres, these guys are spot on... musically and philosophically.

![]() | Best Flamenco in the World Ever by Various Artists
Buy used from: $35.00 who says "you can't judge a book by its cover"?
![]() | I Want You by Marvin Gaye
Buy new: $7.97 / Used from: $3.79 an absolute gem from the coke years (perhaps i should have said rock). the only thing that hinders this one are the couple faded out, half songs and reprises... marvins attention span was short in those days, from what i hear.
![]() | OK Computer by Radiohead
Buy new: $11.99 / Used from: $3.38 possibly the best alternative rock album ever. it is impossible not to listen to this one straight through.

![]() | Planet Waves by Bob Dylan
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $6.42 i can't possibly describe this music. this isn't the bob dylan of the sixties. The Band is his studio band on this one. like most folks feel about dylan, you'll either love this one or hate it. either way, its uniqueness is undeniable.
![]() | Tigermilk by Belle & Sebastian
Buy new: $11.98 / Used from: $5.50 they pretty much lose me after this one. however, this is cool, well orchestrated, skillfully played, lighthearted music. it's what "Charlie Brown's christmas" band would be playing if they grew up.... and were real.
![]() | Rather Ripped by Sonic Youth
Buy new: $13.98 / Used from: $5.54 this is not the sonic youth of old. the sound is far less experimental and much more refined than ever. groovy too. they do get spacey and noisy to an extent but the jams are succinct and song stucture takes on a more primary role. awesome.
