Introduction, by Walter Alden:
Who can deny the importance of a logo? A good brand identity will sell a product or confirm the legitimacy of any project. In designing this graphic element to be successful in the global marketplace, flexibility is key. A logo must translate on paper, over fax, over Internet, and be easily recognizable in every language. Colors and shapes mist carefully be considered in order to effectively cross all cultural barriers. It must be timeless in its style and not be caught in current trends.

The logos presented in this book are exciting, new, and varied. Most have successfully met the requirements of a successful global design, others are on the way. While this book shows the logos presented on Letterhead, it is clear that the business world is moving away from paper to electronic media.

Great all around logo book4
This is a great book showing some very contemporary logos and innovatiove ways to do collateral. The really great thing about this book it that it tells you what stock the collateral was printed on and the tools used. A great frame of reference.

Very nice5
This is a visually pleasing book, with sample letterhead and logos organized by type of business. It provided my design students with identity ideas that they don't typically see in the Midwest.
