About TAG Heuer
TAG Heuer traces its roots to the small Swiss village of St-Imier where, in 1860, a watchmaker named Edouard Heuer opened his first shop. His vision was to create remarkable timepieces that pushed the envelope of innovation and precision. The company's reputation grew, and Heuer's first patent for a chronograph mechanism in 1882 was followed by a long list of achievements: the first stopwatch accurate to 1/100 of a second, the first dashboard stopwatch for race cars, the first miniature electronic timekeeping device accurate to 1/1000th of a second, and the first automatic movement with a microrotor, to name just a few.

Over the years, Heuer's reputation for gold-standard precision earned the company the privilege of providing official timing services for a number of world-class competitive sporting events, including the Olympic Games, the FIS Ski World Cup, and the FIA Formula 1 World Championships. To this day, TAG Heuer maintains a close association with the world of competitive sports and enjoys a devoted following among sports celebrities and enthusiasts. In 1985, Heuer joined the TAG (Techniques D'Avant-Garde) group, and the TAG Heuer name and logo were created. Now one of the most recognized and sought-after watch brands in the world, TAG Heuer continues its reputation of innovative design and technological excellence, creating prestigious timepieces that are always at the cutting edge of precision, reliability and style.

Awsome watch but4
This watch exactly what I wanted and looks even better in person than photos.

I am however a bit disapointed at how easily the brushed stainless finish scratches. I very quickly noticed some scratches appearing from the bracelet rubbing up against the corner of my desk while typing (wood desk). Under closer investigation, I noticed that I can actually scratch the finish with my nail... Not exactly what I expected out of a high quality rugged watch.

Dont get me wrong, we are talking very fine scatches but they add up and after 7 months, one half of the bracelet looks more like I've had the watch for a few years.

Automatic Tag a Winner5
For someone who collects mechanical wristwatches, the Tag Calibre 36 represents another keeper. The watch carries the COSC rating, is water-resistant below depths only Jacques Cousteau would find interesting, and is well-constructed. Wonderful sapphire crystals front and back allow the wearer to enjoy the show. I highly recommend it. And for Amazon? A winner too. Fast shipping, and a price that just could not be beat.

A little concerned5
Even though I believe that a COSC does not come with every watche, I would still have to side with TMR on the service aspect of this transaction. Why, because I called Amazon three times before deciding not to purchase this watch from them. The main reason is that the three different people I talked to on the phone didnt know the difference between a sales warranty and a certificate of authenticity. That bothered me a whole lot. But not only that, when I talked to one of the reps on the phone, they gave me the phone number to a "jewelry specialist" at Amazon.com. I tried calling that number several times and on different days but the phone would always go dead. Again, that worried me because this is a expensive purchase. And if this is the kind of severice I'm getting before the purchase, I hate to think that this will be the kind of severice I will be getting after spending $3675.00. I was told that someone would contact me three days later but it's been a week or more now and still no answer. Ordinarily, I would not rate a product unless I purchased it, but in this case, the pre-purchase service was so bad I felt the need to warn others just in case they decided to buy on impulse because the price was so low. As a result of my experience, I decided to purchase my watch directly from Authenticwatches.com. You get the same great price at $3675.00 and to talk with people who know a little more about watches. Remember, these watches are delicate instruments, good time pieces but they require maintenance every now and then, and you dont want to be bothered with a whole lot of nonsense when that time comes.

I give the WATCH 5 stars. I believe the watch is a superior product. I'm just trying to warn people about the service at Amazon.com regarding this watch. Frankly speaking, this is the only time I had an issue with the service at Amazon.com. But since this is a big tick purchase, well . . . . Be careful out there. Good luck.
