I love ALL Sassy baby toys. They're colorful, they're high quality, and kids love them. You want to provide baby with toys she will want to reach for, hold, shake, and even mouth. That's how they learn.

A drool-proof photo album! That's just good stuff. The cute carrying handle is awesome, and babies love to turn the pages.

With babies, your goal as they get old enough to sit up and play, is to have toys they can grab in their little fists. Pretty much anything from the Fisher Price Little People genre is great.

The ability to stack blocks is actually a very important developmental milestone! Plus, they're just FUN!

Holding a coin and figuring out how to get it in the slot takes a lot of coordination! But with the chunky, colorful coins, this will be fun for a toddler.

Ok, starting right about here in the list is where the two-year old appropriate toys start. They're not necessarily going to be able to instantly master these toys, but they can start trying.

This is a great step up from regular wooden blocks. Takes a little more coordination, but still nice and chunky and easy to hold.

Lacing beads can be pretty challenging, but is a great way to get hands to work together, and for hand-eye coordination.

Perfect for pre-writing and kids who are learning how to hold a writing utensil deliberately. Great car take-along.

Now we're moving into a gray area of probably age appropriate for 3 year olds. But it depends on each child! And the line is way too blurry to figure out where exactly the 4-year old appropriate toys start. :) Lacing cards are fun, and teach kids to use their hands together and to be very deliberate.

This game seems SO boring to a grown-up, but kids love it. And a pincer grip is a necessity to pick up those tiny cherries. :)

Because these scissors don't have straight-edged blades, it's much harder for kids to cut themselves. I started letting my son play with my deco scissors when he was like 2, and he has NEVER hurt himself. :) Any deco scissors work well, and it's a great way for them to teach themselves to use scissors. Remind the kids that their thumbs should be on top when using scissors.

Ok, so I realize you might not want your young child to become an expert at undoing locks, but when you feel ok about that possibility, this puzzle is GREAT fine motor skills (and practical skills!) practice.

I'm a big fan of wooden puzzles, and of kids having an awareness about US geography. These puzzles are great.

This is getting in to more precise sticker placement and hand control. And you end up with a fun art project! This product line has other characters to choose from, too.

Digging in dirt is awesome to develop the muscles in the hand! And if you can get them interested in gardening, maybe you can teach them to weed it next!
