Editorial Reviews

From Publishers Weekly
Vitale, "the Buddha of the Internet," compiles a trove of life lessons from "internet celebrities," motivational speakers, writers and entertainment industry folks in this little book that offers a mishmash of oft-heard self-help homilies. Bits of wisdom and anecdotes are bundled into chapters with titles like, "Your Feelings Are Your Hidden Thoughts" or "How to Know What You Want." Each chapter is punctuated by subheads that address the finer points, including "Naps Are Good," which advises: "When the world seems bleak, when you feel out of sorts, when your body feels tired and you mind seems wild, sometimes all you need is a good nap." Vitale frequently mentions his previous books (The Attractor Factor; The E-Code), and includes short essays from other enterprising authors or "internet marketers" that are virtually indistinguishable from each other's (and Vitale's) in style, content and form. Worth noting is the journey the book takes from the simple advice at the beginning to the hints on manipulating people-"People Will Tend To Say Yes If You Start Them Saying Yes" and "People Will Pay Any Amount of Money to Have Their Inner States Changed"-that creep into the end of the book. Searchers intent on finding instructions on living a fulfilling life should seek a less scattershot book, but readers looking for the odd pick-me-up will find them in large supply here.

Customer Reviews

If you read The Secret, don't buy this book...2
It's a re-fried version of The Secret. Plain and simple. Even worse Joe Vitale uses this book to promote over and over again his other book "The Attractor Factor".
It's easy to read because it's a compilation of small "nuggets" of wisdom. It even has the same people that appear in The Secret, like Jack Canfield and some other people I don't even remember. It's like they got together to make a bunch of books and videos and tapes that say the same message.
Like I titled this review, don't waste your money or time if you already read The Secret.

A Wonderful Little Book5
If you make a commitment to read and apply one of these messages every day, you couldn't help but find your life getting better and yourself happier. I believe this book should be required reading for high school students, and just about everyone else for that matter.

This book inspires and heals.5
My sister was in a horrible car accident. A drunk driver in an SUV rammed her car head-on, breaking half the bones in her body. I sent her my copy of this book the same day I heard.

Initially she was terribly distraught, afraid she'd never walk or use her arms again. But as the weeks went by she got better. The doctors said her recovery was amazingly fast. Within 3 months she had left the hospital. Within a year, all of her bones were whole again. Today she is as active as she ever was.

My parents told me she read this book cover to cover several times in the hospital. I believe it had a hand in her recovery. I know it was a source of comfort and confidence to me. I've since given it to friends of all religions and persuasions. Every time I've been told of its helpfulness.
