An absolute "must-have" for job-seekers 5
Employer Secrets is an expose revealing the secret hiring tactics of employers. Experienced business and executive consultant Phil Baker presents the "Seven A's of Persuasion" (Announce, Arouse, Align, Affirm, Assure, Assist, Adjouorn) and "Seven New Laws of Job Negotiating" (Old Law: The strongest negotiation tool is the ability to walk away from the table. New Law: Before you walk away from their table, make sure you have food on your table!) along with a plethora of tips, tricks, and techniques. Emphasizing the importance of empathy, confidence, a realistic attitude, taking job applications seriously (errors, mistakes or blank spaces on applications are the number one reason why candidates are swiftly rejected) and much more, Employer Secrets is an absolute "must-have" for job-seekers everywhere.

Critique of Employer Secrets by Phil Baker5
After reading Phil Baker's Employer Secrets guide, I found myself intrigued with such fulfillment and dignity. His guide opened many doors for me when searching for the right career. In his book, Phil uses different strategies and secrets like no other writer can. He simplifies the hardest confrontations and puts them into phrases that can be easier to understand and utilize. Phil lets you take control throughout every situation and play the boss throughout the entire interview. You totally change the way you interact when you are interviewing as if you were all by yourself knowing what questions were going to be said. I learned a lot from Phil and met him once. He is a very likeable guy who you can trust. What I liked most of Employer Secrets is Chapter 4: Section 15 "The Most Important Five Minutes of Your Career". This chapter signifies the F.L.A.G. technique and exemplifies the true nature of why most interviewees are always second guessed on their interviews. Most interviewers have their first impression just like the interviewees do. In this case, that can be prejudgmental. The key point here is to not let the first impression bother you while you are interviewed, besides their first impression can be good or bad. I was very happy to take part in reading Phil Baker's Employer Secrets and strongly encourage others to fortake in it as well by reading it. It really does encourage those who read it and surprises many who already don't know that they think they know it all. I look forward to reading other books written by Phil in the near future and would like to learn more.

Don't look for a job until you've read this book!5
Employer Secrets shatters the hiring myths and exposes the truth about employers. I have used the New Laws of Negotiation with success. I liked finding out how HR stands for Hypocritcal Researchers and Phil Baker's candor and wit. No one should look for a job until they have read this book.
