![]() | Killing Yourself to Live: 85% of a True Story by Chuck Klosterman
Buy new: $11.20 / Used from: $5.35 If you buy this book to learn about music, you're wasting your time. The author does go on a road trip across America visiting music-related death sites, however it is a novel about what the author learns about himself *while doing this*. Klosterman has terrible taste in music - or at least 85% of it is terrible - but what he does have is great skill as a writer.

![]() | A Million Little Pieces by James Frey
Buy new: $10.85 / Used from: $0.01 This was sold as a memoir but it turns out that quite a lot is fiction. I'm guessing the same is true of a lot of memoirs, that's probably what makes them interesting. I thought this was an interesting story, well told and, ultimately, quite an uplifting narrative. So some is fiction, so what?
