Is it a mark of insanity when your life turns into a faerie tale? Or is it a sign of awakening? And how do you tell the difference? Jessica Kendall thinks she is fleeing a nightmare, when she impulsively trades her promising but mundane career at a California university for the isolation of a tiny farming village in south-central Germany. She soon discovers, however, that it is not quite so easy to run away from a dream. There is something odd about her stern but grandmotherly new landlady, Frau Totmüller, and something even odder-and more wonderful-about the old woman's handsome, successful son. Drawn to the enigmatic Hermann, despite her fears and misgivings, Jessica soon finds herself immersed in a world of magic, ancient artifacts, and unimaginable power that seems to have been waiting for her all her life.

Excellent Story!!!
Read this book!!! This book is a modern fairytale with memorable characters. I loved the setting in Germany, the Celtic lore...everything is fascinating and intriguing. It will leave you wanting more. :-D Enjoy!
The Power of the Squares
With this title, author T. L. Trevaskis has breathed life into little known aspects of southwestern Germany -- the presence of 2,000-year-old rectangular earthen walls constructed by the Celts as they gradually migrated westward across Europe, and the continuing activities of Pagans in the forested ridges of the Swabian Jura.
During his creation of this work, I enjoyed the privileged position of accompanying him on many field trips into the German forests to locate the Celtic Squares and examine in situ various objects and traces left behind by practicing Pagans.
Trevaskis' long personal experience with Germany comes through clearly in The Forgotten Disturbed, providing the reader with a wealth of sensations that are normally only enjoyed over a period of long residence in a foreign land.
The places and acts he describes, particularly the Squares and the sensations they can produce, are all very real. Though many years have passed since they were built the Celts, the Squares can still command the attention of our most primitive senses and forcefully remind us of how very little we truly understand about the world around us.
If you enjoy tales of journeys in foreign lands and the way in which such journeys change our perceptions of how the world is, this is a book that is not to be missed.
Must buy! Must read!
Settle down with this book - you won't get back up until you've reached the last page of this awesome gothic faerie tale.
