Customer Reviews
Are you a chart junkie?
A fantastic little idea from the master of the Billboard charts, Joel Whitburn. I became interested in this book because I looked to revamp my 80's music collection (you know, lost in vinyl), and I had top 40 lists, but as we all know, all great songs DON'T make the top 40! Using this book spurred lots of great memories and gave me a great base to go to Napster and get back some of the great songs of my youth. If you're looking for stories, don't buy it, but if you want a visit down memory lane, and need some titles to get your Lost Hits of the 80's collection started, then this is the book for you!
CHARTS 80s In a book
SORRY I'M LATE TO TELL YOU ABOUT THIS AMAZING BOOK FROM THE CHARTS 80S. I'M ENJOYING A LITTLE VACATIONS, BUT HERE I AM, I WAS WATCHING A LITTLE BIT. I'M EXPECTING MORE ABOUT THIS, FOR EXAMPLE WATCH EVERY CHART LIKE AN ORIGINAL FORMAT FROM THE MAGAZINE IN THIS PRESENTATION BUT NOT A COPY CHART, BUT ANYWAY. THANK YOU MR. WHITBURN FOR MAKE THIS CHARTS IN A BOOK, I COMPLETELY ALL MY PERSONAL CHARTS FROM THE 80s,IN THE PAST I MISS MANY COPY CHARTS, BUT TODAY I GOT IT.I'M EXCITED TO WATCH THE CHARTS, LITTLE BY LITTLE I DISCOVER GREAT DETAILS FROM THE MUSIC. HEY PEOPLE I RECOMMENDED THIS BOOK IN SPECIAL IF YOU'RE LOVE THE MUSIC.
How the eighties is documented in music
As one who grew up listening to the music in the eighties, this book was the first in the series that I bought. The book itself contains not more than reproductions of weekly billboard HOT 100 charts from the first week of 1980 to the last of 1989. What makes the book interesting to me is that it brought back the good memories of the decade when I listened to practically each song ever made it to the chart, collected the records and stay tuned to the radio for weekly charts.
This book is probably enjoyable only for those who went through the decade in music.
