Pricey but worth it (ours was not so pricey because we got it used on Craigslist so check there first!). Get the most lightweight (& safest) infant car seat you can find, & the car seat adapter to attach it to this stroller. Be as economical as possible with the infant car seat because you will use it for a very short period of time.

I think I got something like 30 cloth bibs with velcro fasteners as gifts, but really I only use this one. I can only find them at USA Baby at Westgate. They're the only ones Maya can't take off.

These are the only ones Maya will drink out of (she won't drink out of a sippy cup). They are great but a bit hard to clean.

You really don't need a highchair - this is all you need. It is so portable and easy to clean. My friend Nicole had one in the house and one in the car.

Whoever designed sleepers with buttons for you to fumble with in the middle of the night when you're so sleep deprived you can't remember your name, quite frankly should be shot. These are the ones to have - get LOTS of them if your baby is born in the winter, & quite a few (and some onesies) if he/she is born in the summer.

No we did not use them as cloth diapers - this is a tip I got from Nicole to buy lots of cheap cloth diapers & use them as burp cloths. They are much bigger, cheaper and way more absorbent than regular burp cloths. Thanks, Mary Lou, for buying them for us!

Could I have lived without this item? Probably. Are there better ones out there? I'm sure there are. You have to have one of these before baby arrives, & hopefully you have a friend like I have Kristen to show you how to use it. Also, you need to have on hand some infant tylenol & diaper rash cream. The pediatrician recommended Dr. Smith's but my personal preference is Boudreaux's Butt Paste.

Having a monitor was super useful in the beginning, but we did not get as much use of it as we thought because (a) our house is not that big and (b) our baby can holler.
