Nancy Drew: Last Train to Blue Moon CanyonNancy Drew: Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon
Buy new: $14.49 / Used from: $3.49
If you want to buy a game purely to have fun, THIS is the title. Along with the Hardy Boys, Nancy takes a train with other detectives from around the country to find centuries-old treasure. Not everyone's motives are pure, as is evident by the characters. The puzzles are challenging but not boring, the plot is always interesting, and this game is purely unique from the rest. The favorite.
Nancy Drew: Danger on Deception IslandNancy Drew: Danger on Deception Island
Buy new: $19.99 / Used from: $6.93
THE model ND game, Danger on Deception Island has everything-deep characters with obvious motives, secret passageways, sabotage, kidnap, danger, vandalism, and many puzzles. This game alone will get a player hooked on the series. A classic, great game.
Nancy Drew: The White Wolf of Icicle CreekNancy Drew: The White Wolf of Icicle Creek
Buy new: $19.16 / Used from: $5.34
This game was a relief for many-after the horror that was Kapu Cave, HER released this gem of a mystery. The snowy setting is an awesome backdrop to a complex mystery, and the plethora of characters compliment the plot nicely. The White Wolf herself is the best part of the game!
Nancy Drew: Ghost Dogs of Moon LakeNancy Drew: Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake
Buy new: $19.99 / Used from: $18.99
Love gangsters, speakeasys, and everything else from the roaring 20's? Then play this game and discover who is behind the terrorization of Moon Lake by a pack of ghost dogs, formerly owned by a gangster. An instant classic, this game has great characters and plot and the scariest pure moment of any game.
Nancy Drew: Warnings at Waverly AcademyNancy Drew: Warnings at Waverly Academy
Buy new: $19.82 / Used from: $14.00
This game was a huge breath of fresh air. This is not only because of the original, beliveable characters, the stunning graphics, or the air of suspense, but because the creators of the game finally returned to their old formula. This game was extremely reminiscent of some of the classic Nancy Drew games. This is definetly one of the better "new" games.
Nancy Drew: The Phantom of VeniceNancy Drew: The Phantom of Venice
Buy new: $12.98 / Used from: $11.07
Nancy goes undercover as part of the Italian police as she tries to unmask a master thief. Dazzling and intruiging, this game always has something exciting happening, and the characters never have a dull moment. This also includes the best in-game game of the series: Scopa!
Nancy Drew: Curse of Blackmoor ManorNancy Drew: Curse of Blackmoor Manor
Buy new: $15.79 / Used from: $4.50
The hardest and most frightening ND game, Blackmoor Manor is best taken on if one is an ND expert. If you are a fan of being constantly spooked, inricate puzzles, and some seriously cool passageways, this title is for you. Characters are solid and the graphics are excellent.
Nancy Drew: Treasure In The Royal TowerNancy Drew: Treasure In The Royal Tower
Buy new: $15.35 / Used from: $4.65
The first ND game I ever played, this title remains a favorite not because of flashy graphics or easy gameplay but because it has the most solid plot and characters of any mystery. Finding the treasure is a truly fun experience, and many twists and turns always keep you guessing.
Nancy Drew: The Secret of Shadow RanchNancy Drew: The Secret of Shadow Ranch
Buy new: $15.95 / Used from: $9.00
Romance, cowboys, and mystery-this is truly an all-out fun game to play. While sometimes tedious, Shadow Ranch is a quintessential Nancy Drew game that involves all the combination of lots of sleuthing, many puzzles, and a bit of scariness. A great game.
Nancy Drew: The Legend of the Crystal SkullNancy Drew: The Legend of the Crystal Skull
Buy new: $19.82 / Used from: $6.25
Scary, dark, and exciting, this mystery is set in the interesting backdrop of New Orleans as Nancy probes through a dark house's secrets, discovers a secret society, and searches for a legendary skull. Character development and gameplay are very strong, and some truly chilling moments.
Nancy Drew: Ransom of the Seven ShipsNancy Drew: Ransom of the Seven Ships
Buy new: $19.99 / Used from: $14.50
While not in the traditional mold of ND games, Ransom of the Seven Ships has many fun and challenging puzzles, many locations to explore, stunning graphics, and the best and most shocking ending to any mystery. Nancy searches for Bess after she is kidnapped, and the only other people on the island are George and a beach bum, so character development is not very strong. Still, a great game.
Nancy Drew: The Final SceneNancy Drew: The Final Scene
Buy new: $17.99 / Used from: $3.75
This game, while short, is very thrilling and emotionally charged as Nancy is forced to find her kidnapped friend before the demolition of an old theatre. Plot, characters, and conclusion are all exciting. The only thing keeping this out of the top ten is limited areas to explore as the game takes place only in the theatre.
Nancy Drew: Secret of the Scarlet HandNancy Drew: Secret of the Scarlet Hand
Buy new: $19.99 / Used from: $15.00
The Scarlet Hand is another game with a fantastic finish and strong plot. The beginning is tedious, but once into the mystery the player is submerged in Mayan culture and looming danger. This is a classic, strong addition.
Nancy Drew: Danger by DesignNancy Drew: Danger by Design
Buy new: $9.75 / Used from: $4.00
A solid addition to the ND franchise, this game is heavy with plot and puzzles but very weak with character development. It is easy to forget most of the suspects and the ending is strange, but there are some very very fun and unique plot twists in the game.
Nancy Drew: Secret Of the Old ClockNancy Drew: Secret Of the Old Clock
Buy new: $11.49 / Used from: $4.00
This game is fun, but not too challenging and not at all memorable. If you're a fan of Depression-era America, however, this could be quite an interesting game. It has many puzzles which can be both tricky and fun, but the characters suffer from the boring plot.
Nancy Drew: The Haunted CarouselNancy Drew: The Haunted Carousel
Buy new: $19.99 / Used from: $7.90
Short and easy, this game is great if you don't have a lot of time on your hands. The plot is simple enough, and the characters are suprisingly well-developed. Unfortunately, this game is too plain to be ranked higher.
Nancy Drew: The Haunting of Castle MalloyNancy Drew: The Haunting of Castle Malloy
Buy new: $19.82 / Used from: $11.11
This game was a disappointment as it's three predecesors were so strong. The plot and characters start out strong as Nancy is asked to find a missing groom, but both rapidly deteriorate as the game goes on. Luckily, this game is one of the more creepy titles in the series, but has a very strange and abrupt ending.
Nancy Drew: Stay Tuned for DangerNancy Drew: Stay Tuned for Danger
Buy new: $19.99 / Used from: $6.44
The plot and characters of this game are awesome as Nancy is asked to uncover death threats to a soap opera star. The graphics are poor and some tasks are tedious, but this is an all-around fun game and has a great ending.
Nancy Drew: Message in a Haunted MansionNancy Drew: Message in a Haunted Mansion
Buy new: $15.29 / Used from: $5.00
This is one of the easier ND games, but still very fun. The plot is a little flaky, however. This is a great starter game for anyone who hasn't played the series before. The strength of this mystery is the characters, who all have legitimate motives.
Nancy Drew Secrets Can KillNancy Drew Secrets Can Kill
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $8.88
The graphics were poor and the disc-changing tedious, but this game had a dramatic murder to solve and lots of exciting moments. The characters were also strong, and Nancy even gets a gun!
Nancy Drew: The Creature of Kapu CaveNancy Drew: The Creature of Kapu Cave
Buy new: $9.75 / Used from: $4.47
This was by far the worst ND game. The plot, characters, and ending were laughable at best. The only redeeming quality of this game is the graphics. Don't buy this game unless you absolutely must.
