About the Author
KEN SCHULTZ has been a staff fishing writer and editor for Field & Stream since 1973, where his feature articles and columns appear monthly. Schultz is a former frequent author of the "Outdoors" column in the New York Times. He has written sixteen books on sportfishing and angling travel topics, including the authoritative Ken Schultz’s Fishing Encyclopedia. A widely traveled angler, Schultz is a former holder of seven line-class world records and was inducted into the Fishing Hall of Fame in 1998.

Perfect book
This book has great pictures with each fish description, making it easy to determine the fish based on sight. Gives you the perfect amount of basic information about each fish, which is all we really wanted. We love this book and we take it with us when we go fishing in Mexico so we can figure out exactly what we just caught! It's great!
good book
good book for the person that wants basic information about fishing. I am a shore saltwater/freshwater fisherwoman and really enjoyed the basic knowledge the book has. I would have liked to have scene REAL pictures of the fish though instead of illustrations
decent book
Didn't have some of the fish we'd been catching here off the coast, but helpful just the same as we are newbies at saltwater fishing!
