This is the film so many are talking about. In 18 minutes Fishers of Men easily does what hours of apologetic talks on the priesthood and Catholicism struggle to do. This film has even convinced non-Catholics of the importance of the priesthood, and allowed many to understand for the first time what the Catholic priesthood is all about. We believe that Fishers of Men is anointed and gives us a glimpse into God's intentions, and an understanding of why the Catholic Church is here to stay until Christ returns. Mankind cannot exist without the Church, and the Church cannot exist without her priests. This film beautifully and emotionally demonstrates what Christ meant when he proclaimed, "And the gates of hell shall not prevail against it [the Church]." Fishers of Men was developed by the United States Conference of Bishops' Committee on Vocations. It is a film intended to renew priests' sense of fulfillment in their vocation and to encourage them to draw on that satisfaction to invite other men to pursue the priesthood. But it is likely to have a much broader and global affect on Catholics of all ilks and non-Catholics of every stripe. Fishers of Men, produced by Grassroots Films of Brooklyn, NY, is a fast-paced, emotionally-charged video that reveals the many facets of a priest's daily life, and demonstrates why only real men can become priests. At Nineveh's Crossing we believe that every lay-Catholic in America should see this film, and then show it to their priest (don't loan it to them) -- sit them down in front of a big screen and a surround audio system and experience the priesthood with them for a few minutes. Then chase down your parish youth group leaders, and get them to show this to the whole youth group, the girls included. And be sure they watch it on a huge screen with BIG audio. Every purchase of this product helps to fund the next Grassroots Film.

Powerful Documentary
This is a powerful documentary which in 18 minutes portrays the Catholic priesthood in its full capacity and spiritual power. Every young Catholic man or teenager should see this movie, whether they are thinking about the priesthood or not. It shows that only real men can be priests: no wimps allowed. I am a happily married man and father, but if I had seen this movie before I met my wife, I would have been applying the same day for the seminary.
Power of the priesthood
This brings into light the awesome responsibility, privilege and power that is bestowed onto a priest. The calling to the priesthood is shown in this film as awe-inspiring, glimpsing the greatness of the one whom does the calling. The music leaves your heart pounding. Buy it and share it!!!!
An inspired call
"Fishers of Men" is a heartfelt and inspiring documentary about men who have answered the call to the Catholic priesthood. Though short (18 min.,)the film is an engaging look at what motivates a man to give his life to God in the service of His church. Replete with fast-paced images and catching music, this is a perfect film for vocation talks, as well as many parish gatherings like prayer & youth groups. I was particularly taken by the stirring images of Pope John Paul II and the wonderful stories the men told of what an inspiration the late pontiff had been to their vocations. "Fishers of Men" is highly recommended as a joyful & positive example of what truly means to become a Catholic priest.
