From the Manufacturer
The smallest memory card in the world and the newest standard SD flash memory format specifically designed for ultra-small mobile phones.

Another great invention from SanDisk, the microSD is about a quarter of the size of an SD card and is the newest standard of SD flash memory specifically designed for use with ultra-small mobile phones and other devices. Like the miniSD, the microSD/TransFlash is ideal for use in storing media-rich files such as music, videos, and photographs in compatible mobile phones.

Customer Reviews

Works Great with the Motorola E8155
I've owned the SanDisk 1GB MicroSD card and a Motorola E815 for about a month. I use the card primarily for storing MP3s, videos, and photos. Access time is great--it seems to work as fast as the on-board memory.

This card will NOT work out-of-the-box in the E815. You will need to format the card on a computer using an SD and/or microSD USB reader. Get the SanDisk MobileMate 5-in-1 reader to do that ($13 on Amazon). It is not hard to format the card. If you use Windows, the card will show up as a new drive... simply go to 'My Computer', right-click on the new drive and choose 'Format'.

This is one of a few 1GB microSD/TransFlash cards that have been made (as of May 2006). A-Data appears to also have a 1GB microSD card. A 2GB microSD card is the in the works for late 2006.

This card ships with an SD adapter. So, you can put the microSD card inside the SD adapter to convert to a regular SD card.

Snap, Shoot and Listen All You Want With Your LG VX83005
I bought this to use with the Verizon LG VX8300. It worked right out of the box, no problems. With this you can shoot all the photos and video you want and take along a lot of music as well. I use the included SD adapter to transfer music and photos between the phone and laptop. My laptop has an SD slot built in. If yours doesn't you'll need to use a card reader.
Of course the thing is tiny so it takes some getting used to inserting and removing it from the phone. Just use a little finesse and you should be fine. If you have a VX8300 you'll love having this MicroSD card.

1 gb and samsung a9205
i have been waiting for this card to come out of over three months. i must say that i waited until the right moment, especially when the price for this dropped. it work great on my samsung a920 cell phone, despite what the manual and salespeople say about using a card larger than 512 megs. the phone recognizes it with the correct size, and i have converted lot of small movies to view on my phone. i also have a few mp3 albums on it, and it's still only 20% filled. i am very happy with this product, and even happier i got it for under $50. incredible something so small can be a gig in size.
