Apple iPod classic 80 GB Silver (6th Generation) OLD MODELApple iPod classic 80 GB Silver (6th Generation) OLD MODEL

iPod Classic is my favorite of the current choices. The Shuffle and Nano just don't have enough memory. Shuffle doesn't do video, Nano has a tiny screen. The iPod Touch & iPhone has a nice screen but is too expensive.

The older version runs off of 4 AA batteries and the battery pack is attatched to the iPod with a cord. On the plus side, the iPod tip is an iGo charger tip, so it can be changed out for other tips for game boys, cell phones, PDAs, etc. Tips can go for about $10 depending on the device. I do not recommend this being your only charger. Batteries are more expensive than using a wall outlet.

I highly recommend a wall charger since Apple no longer supplies a charger for the USB cable nor can you use the old firewire cable and charger. This comes with a car charger too, and for less than $5! Keep the USB Sync cable that came with the iPod, though, because mine recognizes that the included one is plugged in, but won't connect.

A handy car charger with which you can change the tips to whatever product you have. I mentioned this in the old model of the Energi2Go. You can get a tip for the iPod, a cell phone, etc. There is a wall charger, but I don't recommend it. Most devices already come with one. Unless you are getting more than just the iPod tip, I don't recommend this. Apple certified tips work.

This is one compatable with the Classic. If you purchase the old Energi2Go power pack, you don't need to purchase this, since it is already included in that one.

You may want an extra sync cable. One to keep by your computer or in your laptop case, one in your car if you buy the previous item.

It's a camera case, yes, but it fits the iPod classic perfectly, but with the earbuds plugged in, it's a bit of a snug fit. There's an expansion under the front flap that the ear buds fit nicely in. It does not fit if you have a skin on.

Made for the previous generation but fits perfectly over the classic 80 GB. Unlike the ones made specifically for the Classic, they're much cheaper. This one even includes a second skin.

If you've already got a home stereo system, there's no point to buying a speaker that costs an extra $60-$150 (depending on quality). You'll get better quality through your home speakers. The video-out feature of the iPod doesn't work the way the fifth gen. iPod did (through the earphone jack; now it's through the base), but I, at least, didn't buy this for that.
