About the Author
Roger C. Estes is a career law enforcement officer serving in the Commonweath of Virginia. He has carried a gun for over two decades and has been shooting competitively since 1960. He has a Master classification in Smallbore Rifle, Smallbore Position Rifle, Smallbore Prone and Police Pistol shooting. He holds by himself or as part of a team 21 national records and currently competes in High Power Rifle Silhouette and IPSC shooting. He attended Marray State University in Murray, KY where he was named to the All American Rifle Team each of three years. He is a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. Mr. Estes is married with two sons and a daughter. His children also join him in the shootings sports. He is an assistant scoutmaster and merit badge counselor in rifle and shotgun shooting as well as family living, photography, finger printing and criminal justice merit badges.
