Talk Now! - Very useful product.
This is a great product. It's interactive with fun games and over 270 words you can put on your ipod so you can study anywhere. It teaches you a lot of words related to food, colors, shopping, traveling, emergencies, and other basic things.

As to the other review that the words are just 'English spoken with an Indian accent,' its true that some of the words are like that but its words for objects like 'credit card' and 'telephone' that didn't always exist in the language.

My only complaint is that the complete sentences they teach you aren't broken down in to their different parts so that you can construct new ones easily on your own, but rather you just memorize how that sentence sounds.

Obviously knowing someone who actually speaks the language would be a big help in learning, but if you don't have one this is probably the next best thing. I also bought a book to try to learn from and this is so much more helpful.

Ridiculously Bad
Half of the words they "translate"
are just english words with
a heavy Indian accent.

A total waste of time and money

High hope dashed on the rocks of incompatibility
Tried to install it and it is clearly not compatible with my iMac. Oh, I am up to date on everything and everything that I have installed recently worked fine. But they have no over-the-web update and their on-line help is woefully inadequate. My request for assistance was met with an automated reply. I can see it now...sorry we can't help you, bla bla bla.

My advice...steer clear of this one. Their technology is too proprietary and could easily stop working with future updates to Mac OS or Windows.

Bummer!
