Average customer review:Product Description
The next volume in this branch of humorous stories happening between the 1st and 2nd volume of Zenith presents two stories. In the first, the Dungeon is attacked by a swarm of flying venomous toads so large it almost succumbs as the perpetrators look to get free rein inside! In the second, Herbert is sent on a mission to… clear out the septic tank. It hadn’t been done for 40 years. Turns out the crap has accumulated so massively a whole beautiful ecology has been formed deep in the basement! Should they destroy this flowery dung heap? "Another winning Dungeon volume in which absurd plotlines frequently go off on tangents. The sewers afford Trondheim perfect opportunities for alien-landscape creation."-BOOKLIST

Oh boy, more Dungeon!
Dungeon is just fantastic and Day of the Toads is more of the same. Can't complain about that! Although a good chunk of the adventures in these books take place well outside the titular Dungeon, I find the best way to describe the comic is Dungeon Keeper--the comic, because it is frequently about dungeon maintenance, and it's a big job! In this volume we learn about the emergency lighting system (and why it should not be sold to a band of amphibious monster ninjas), where the children of the various inhabitants of the dungeon send their offspring for day care, and perhaps most importantly: what's clogging up the dungeon's septic system.
These comics just exude a wonderfulness, and every time I get a new one I always mean to save it but end up reading it (quickly) as soon as I get it, and then pass it on to my friends. The only downside is that it is over so quickly, but I enjoy reading these stories over and over.. They're just so much fun!
The most enticing dungeon
Gods fall, ideals crumble, suns fade. However, there is one thing one can always rely upon: Dungeon's unwavering excellence. This is, beyond doubt, the most profound and thought-provoking collection of unabashed silliness I've ever experienced. Highly recommended.
