Marley and Me: Life and Love with the World's Worst DogMarley and Me: Life and Love with the World's Worst Dog by John Grogan
Buy used from: $2.86
Must read for any dog owner/lover. A true story of a lab and the relationship he has with the family through his puppy years well into his old age. Keep a kleenex close by, this one had me in tears by the end. Also, this is being made into a movie starring Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston that's set to be realeased this Christmas (2008), so I can't wait to see that.

This book had me laughing out loud in many parts. True story of an ex-sorority girl who had a high powered job and enjoyed the finer (and designer) things in life. Until she gets 'laid off' and struggles to find another job. In that time she is forced to make a lot of changes and adjustments in her lifestyle. Good especially for recent college grads.

The second memoir by Jen Lancaster that once again had me laughing out loud. The reinactments she gives of senarios in her life are hilarious.
Love the One You're WithLove the One You're With by Emily Giffin

Excellent story that leaves you flipping the pages to find out who she ends up choosing - her husband or what she considers to be the man that was her first true love. although the outcome is predictable (all you really have to do is read the title of the book) it was still a very good story, and a quick and easy read.
She's Come Undone (Oprah's Book Club)She's Come Undone (Oprah's Book Club) by Wally Lamb
Buy new: $7.99 / Used from: $0.01
Very interesting and different read. About a girl who goes off the deep end (and starts overeating) after her parents split. It deals with everything from being teased in school, death in the family, sexual abuse,same-sex sexual encounters, to a marraige that came out of an obsession. Different from anything I've ever read and is a little bit longer than other books on my list.
Promise Not to Tell: A NovelPromise Not to Tell: A Novel by Jennifer Mcmahon
Buy new: $10.04 / Used from: $0.01
Thriller that kept me turning the pages! Story about a lady who goes back to her tiny hometown for a visit and learns that a murder has just taken place there and that the murder is very similar to one that took place years earlier that involved her best friend. It's one of those creepy, who-done-it type books that is a quick read because it keeps you turning the pages to find out who did it.
Diary of a South Beach Party GirlDiary of a South Beach Party Girl by Gwen Cooper
Buy used from: $0.01
Fun and young book that reads like a memoir... but supposedly isn't. It seems as though this is the authors story about her time on SoBe, but she just doesn't want to admit it. It is an interesting and shocking tale, but some parts got repetative - party, nap, work, party, nap, work that got a little annoying by the end of the book. But overall, good.
Secrets of the Hollywood Girls ClubSecrets of the Hollywood Girls Club by Maggie Marr
Buy new: $18.68 / Used from: $0.01
I liked this second book much better than the first book in the series. Either secrets were being revealed, and you had to try and read on to figure out who opened their mouth and let the secret out. Or there was a secret and you were trying to figure out exactly what it was. Quick, fun read (and also, a little racier than the first book) - much better than the first book.

Racy book about a group of girlfriends in an A-list circle. At first I thought the book was a little bit cheesy and some of the extra characters were a little hard to keep track of - but this book is a pretty easy read that has it's fair share of interesting twists and turns. It's like an older version of Gossip Girl or The A-list or something of that nature.
Confessions of a ShopaholicConfessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella
Buy new: $7.99 / Used from: $0.01
Funny must read for any girl who loves to shop. You can't help but laugh out loud at some of the senarios that Becky (the main character) goes through just to get a pair of jeans or make more money so she can spend in on clothes or accessories. It's a fun, easy read and it's also being made into a movie that is slatted to come out soon that looks like it will be a pretty big box office hit.
Pledged: The Secret Life of SororitiesPledged: The Secret Life of Sororities by Alexandra Robbins
Buy new: $14.95 / Used from: $0.01
This is more of an informative type of read. It's a true story about a girl who goes undercover to see what really goes on in sororities. It's a pretty hefty read, so I'd suggest it for those who always wondered what happend in sororities.
If I Am Missing or Dead: A Sister's Story of Love, Murder, and LiberationIf I Am Missing or Dead: A Sister's Story of Love, Murder, and Liberation by Janine Latus
Buy new: $10.20 / Used from: $0.01
This is a true story about a woman and her troubling relationships with men. It is also about her sister, but a lot of the book I found to be about Janine (the author's) own relationships, while her sisters story was subtly intertwined within. It's a sad, but very telling story.

The second book in the series.. Becky discovers shopping in the states..!
In Her Shoes: A NovelIn Her Shoes: A Novel by Jennifer Weiner

I haven't seen the movie, but I enjoyed this book and am now curious to go out and rent the movie to see how it differs.
Flip-Flopped: A NovelFlip-Flopped: A Novel by Jill Smolinski

This is an ok book. Set in Hawaii about a mother who is going through a divorce and has to juggle that with taking care of her son, her job, her really strange lawyer, and an interesting new guy. I found the parts of the book that focused on her job boring - but what kept me flipping through this book was wanting to find out what the end result of her relationship with her soon-to-be ex-husband.
LoveHamptonLoveHampton by Sherri Rifkin
Buy new: $11.16 / Used from: $0.37
Girl gets a makeover and spends a summer in the Hamptons after a breakup. She struggles to fit in there and it makes matters worse when people find out she was on a makeover show. A good beach read.
Candy Girl: A Year in the Life of an Unlikely StripperCandy Girl: A Year in the Life of an Unlikely Stripper by Diablo Cody
Buy new: $10.20 / Used from: $1.21
Gives you insight to the world of stripping.. but I was sort of disappointed in this book. I felt like it could've been any strippers story - except for the fact that she had a masters degree.
