After watching the first Watch Me Learn® video just a few times, my non-verbal daughter began saying 'hi' to the kids on TV! These videos offer a new way of learning. Incorporating ABA and Verbal Behavior techniques, Watch Me Learn® videos are motivating, educational and fun to watch! --Kara

The WML Videos were introduced to the staff of my school during a professional development seminar. Since then, every teacher in our school uses them in their classrooms on a daily basis. I have noticed such an improvement in the children from watching them. The children first imitate the actions from the video and with proper guidance generalize them to natural settings. They are also picking up words and phrases and using them in the appropriate contexts. Every time we watch, someone picks up something new. We have had parents in the class to observe and when we watch the video, they say that s where he got that from. He does that at home. Many parents have asked where to buy the videos so they can use them at home. I consider WML to be an integral part of the curriculum and I recommend it to teachers and parents. I thank you very much for creating such a wonderful series --Jill Maher, M.S. NY City Schools

In recommending [Watch Me Learn autism treatment videos] to parent after parent, I was overwhelmed by positive feedback. Now we are using them at the Helping Hands® Saturday Socialization Program to improve self-efficacy in game play as well as accuracy and initiations. Since videos in general are so popular for many kids, typically developing as well as kids on the Autism Spectrum, it makes sense to teach children much needed skills by letting them watch other kids that they can relate to. It is similar to the concepts we use at Helping Hands, basing social skills learning on the utilization of peer models. In this way, parents can use the videos to help teach their children how to emulate peer models. They can then generalize these skills to various settings and enjoy the games that once brought them so much anxiety! --Vanetta Larosa, Ph.D., B.C.B.A.

Not good for autistic children!
This is a good concept and my child loved the videos, however, there is a child on the video that has several parts and he has a speech impediment. I later found out that my son developed that same speech problem because, as many autistic children do, he echo's / memorizes what's on the videos. Now he cannot pronounce his l's correctly among other things.... I haven't let him see these videos for about a year now and he still has the same speech problem. These videos should be taken off the market! My son has enough problems besides developing a speech impediment!
This really was "A New Beginning" for my family....
A good friend of mine with an autistic and down syndrome child recommended this series to me for my asd child. What a difference it has made. My daughter has learned to use new words, but also to take turns and ask for things more correctly. I've heard this company was started by the mom of an autistic child. I hope she keeps making more products.
Amazing
I bought this DVD on the recommendation of another parent and it is the single best language video we have found. After 6 months of speech therapy we only had a dozen words. After a few days with the video he is imitating simon says and will do it from a verbal request. It has increased his receptive language and now he says "mommy"! He is engaged watching it and we are already hearing more words. I wish there were more at the beginner level.
