THREE AND A HALF STARS: Rapper's AZ and Masta Ace have to be the most slept on MC's in the game. Here we have another solid release by master word smith AZ. He displays his skills with great lines on "Dead End" and "Superstar." While this is a good album past efforts "A.W.O.L" and "Doe Or Die" are a notch higher.

THREE AND A HALF STARS: This is another nice effort from Bun B since the loss of his counter part Pimp C. Plenty of guest appearances throughout this LP, even Lupe Fiasco makes an appearance here. Best tracks: "2 Trill," "You're Everything" and "Good II ME".

FIVE STARS: The lyrics and beats are all solid. For fans of true hip hop and those looking for some intelligent ryhmes and classy beats you wont be disapointed here.

FIVE STARS: Fans of Lupe Fiasco and Little Brother should appreciate the creative sound here. Very impressive work overall. Best tracks include: "Guess Whos Back", "I Want H.E.R", and "Never Change".

FOUR STARS: eMC is a group effort comprised of four talented mcs; Masta Ace, Punchline, Wordsworth and Stricklin. This show is a story driven LP with an uptempo beat and catchy tracks including: "Its Alright", and "Make It Better".

FOUR STARS: K-Rino is a lyricist in a class of his own. His clever stories and solid ryhmes are delivered with finesse every outing. This is volume 1 which is the best of a 3 part volume of LP's for 2008. For those looking to familiarize themselves with K-Rinos work I suggest picking up his outstanding album "Book Number 7." Best tracks here include: "Hood Rules", and "Two Sides To The Story".

THREE STARS: This is volume 3 which is the weaker of a 3 part volume of LP's released in 2008 by K-Rino. Best tracks here include:"Everthangs Alright", and "Paper Hound",

FOUR STARS: Kidz In The Hall returned with their 2008 release "The In Crowd". This is a good LP and features a cameo from Camp Lo. Fans of Little Brother and Tribe Called Quest should look into Kidz In The Hall. Best tracks here include: "Drivin Down The Block", and "All Dat".

THREE AND A HALF STARS: Lil Wayne rushed an album to stores and filled it with filler. "Tha Carter III", could have otherwise been a certain classic. Despite all its drawbacks he delivers this years best track on any album in "Dr. Carter". Best tracks here include: "3 Peat", "Dr Carter", "A Milli", and "Got Money".

FIVE STARS: This is Nas best LP since Illmatic.

THREE AND A HALF STARS: Pastor Troy is a foul mouthed southern rapper who delivers energetic flows behind raw beats. Alot of "Attitude Adjuster", is pure energy and gritty crunk music. This is one of his best LPs since "DSGB". Best tracks here include: "Street Law", and "My Box Chevy."

THREE AND A HALF STARS: Tech N9ne must have put in over time at the office for all the tracks thrown on here. Though his crazy rap style is not for everyone most heads will agree this his one of his best works. Best tracks include: "Pyscho B**"

TWO AND A HALF STARS: "The Recession", features one of Kayne Wests best colab tracks to date and the single of the year in "Put On". However this album is less than stellar. The production sounds identical track to track with the only highlights being "Get Allot", and "Amazin".
