Camp! Camp! Camp! And more camp! Pure sleaze and I love it. It took me three years to adapt all 18 volumes of this series and it holds a special place in my heart.

Product Description

In short order, Sakuya and his crew compose a song using Aine's lyrics. The tune proves popular with the band's fans and Sakuya decides he wants a relationship, both professional and personal, with Aine. There's only one small requirement: The lyrics Aine writes must be erotically charged. And guess what? Sakuya fully intends to introduce the young and inexperienced girl into the world of sensual delights. Does Sakuya actually care for Aine, or is she just another sexual conquest for him? Will Aine fulfill her dreams and become a professional lyricist, or has she simply sold her soul to Lucifer?

Sexy, Smokin' Manga!5
This is an awesome manga! very different from the usual Shoujo manga out there!

I was expecting the typical shoujo manga the typical boy-girl fall in love story, I am used to reading the typical PG13 ones...but whoa! This one is a sexy, sexy read! This manga is more suitable for older teens/ young adults.

First of all, it's about a high school girl ( Aine) who loves to write sensual lyrics who accidentally met a famous singer/ front man for a band "Lucifer" named Sakuya. Sakuya accidentally found the lyrics that she wrote, made it into the song & was convinced of her raw talent. Despite everyone's objection, the Lucifer front man decides to hire the school girl as their official lyric writer!

The lyrics presented in the manga are poetic, sexy, sensual...it comes from the imagination of this inexperienced, virginal, school girl.

To get Aine inspired Sakuya constantly seduce Aine's senses to coax sexy lyrics out of her imagination.

It's obvious that both of them are deeply attracted to each other, they have this unexplainable chemistry. But he is a rock star with many fans, his manager & band mates seems to discourage their relationship. She is an ordinary school girl, who actually gets bullied by his fans for being close to him.

I can't wait for the 2nd volume to come out! & read this sexy love story!!! How this story will develop! I highly recommend this book to all adult, shoujo fans!

Well, The Art is Good!1
I heard that this thing was a "straight version of GRAVITATION". Well, both manga are set in the musical industry, and they have a long list of superficial similarities that are fun to make note of. Otherwise it is a misleading comparison. If the phrase "a straight version of GRAVITATION" intrigues you, give this a miss and try SKIP BEAT instead.

I read SENSUAL PHRASE because I heard some good things about it. I have belatedly realized that the good things that I heard probably referred to KAIKAN PHRASE - the anime LOOSELY based upon this manga.

SENSUAL PHRASE reminds me of PARADISE KISS in that they have the same basic plot setup: High school girl gets involved with glamorous industry and enigmatic hottie. The difference is that SENSUAL PHRASE 1) adds lots of sex and misogyny, and 2) removes all the humor, character development, non-sexual relationships, and the heroine's backbone and frontal lobe. The SP heroine, Aine, more strongly resembles the whiny heroines of CERES and FUSHIGI YUUGI, only without any pesky friends or brothers or world-saving duties to distract her from her boyfriend.

For the first couple of volumes, it appears that SENSUAL PHRASE does have a plot at least, whatever else it is lacking. Later volumes come close to being soft porn, with paper-thin plots that are best recommended to fans of kitschy badness. If this was a TV show and I had friends over for drinks, I would definitely turn it on so that we could mock it and throw things at the TV in between conversations about other things. It is fun in that way.

The most intriguing book I have ever read before.5
I recently discovered this manga by accident, and when I read the story, I was intrigued, and decided to buy it. I could not put this book down and I loved every part of it. It is about a female poet/lyricist who meets the male lead singer of a popular band when he almost runs her over. After seeing a work of hers, he wants her to be the band's lyricist. Her lyrics are erotic and sexual, and when she meets this guy, she falls in love with him and wants to be with him, but her virginity is what gives her the creativity the band needs. And if that weren't bad enough, she is picked on and made fun of for her connection with the band by nearly everyone. When it comes to manga, or any kind of book for that matter, this is exactly the kind that I look for. The artwork is beautiful, the characters are understandable (I have noticed many similarities between Aine and myself) and the romance and story is special as well.
