Customer Reviews
A decent shoe
I picked up this shoe for $25 on Amazon (I now see that it is at $20.99). My review is based on that price, rather than the retail price.
I have had good luck with Kenneth Cole shoes in the past, and decided to take a chance on this one. While the quality is definitely not comparable to a "real" Kenneth Cole shoe, it is good for its price range. My only real complaint is that some of the stitching on the side of the shoe has started to come loose already, which really is unacceptable at any price range. The shoe is very lightweight, and reasonably comfortable. The leather doesn't look great: there is a definite plastic-y quality to the shoe. The overall design is very attractive, however. As noted in another review, it is also somewhat tight. It is no worse than some other pairs of shoes that I own, but this is definitely not a "slip-on" shoe. Still, it's quicker than laces.
Overall, this is a good shoe for the price. If not for the stitching problem, I would have given this at least 4 stars. It's certainly better than almost any other men's shoe you can find for $20.
Not exactly kenneth cole quality
I may have expected too much of these shoes, my first try at Kenneth Cole's Unlimited label. K.Cole shoes are some of the best out there for men, stylish, durable, and very well made. I've owned 6+ pairs and loved every one of them.
Unfortunately I can't say the same for Unlisted, based on this example. I was hoping for an inexpensive lightweight slip-on shoe for traveling. I expected the material to be a little cheaper, but it's MUCH cheaper, kind of a rigid material that feels like vinyl. It promises to crease and crack horribly with use. The finish looks cheaply plastic rather than like patent leather. Yuck.
The clincher for me is that the back half of the shoe was very tight/narrow (the narrowest medium width I've ever tried on), even with a shoehorn it was hard to put on. Without a shoehorn, you threaten to crush the flimsy back of the heel. Definitely not a slip-on/slip-off for the airport!
The shoe is indeed lightweight, and with a better finish, it would look reasonably stylish, but as-is, I can't recommend it. Go to a Kenneth Cole factory store (there are lots) and buy a marked down version of their mainline brand of shoes. They won't cost that much more and you will be much happier (and look much more styling!)...
kenneth cole slip on
I purchased for my son and these were $20.
These are great shoes. I tried to order the other men in my life these same shoes. The leather is soft smooth durable leather and these shoes look like the cost a lot more. My son says they fee comforable and feel good to walk in. He wears them quite often to work. He wouldnt if they didnt look cool or hurt.
