Customer Reviews

Excellent Mac mouse...4
I purchased this mouse for my Mac after looking at all kinds of different bluetooth mice. I owned a Kensington mouse before, so I'm familiar with Kensington quality. This mouse is exceptional.

Despite it's small size, this mouse is very comfortable in my big hands. It's bilaterally symetrical, so it's equally good for right or left hand (I'm right handed). The scroll wheel clicks on the forward/back, and the click interval is a little longer than I like. It tends to make scrolling through long web pages a little jumpy. The left/right movement of the scroll wheel is very smooth and makes horizontal scrolling easy.

Setup of the mouse was easy and intuitive. I had it running on my Mac within 5 minutes of getting it out of the package. The Mac paired with it immediately. The only change I had to make was to reduce mouse acceleration a little--it was too fast out of the box.

I like the power switch. Being able to turn this off when throwing it in the laptop bag is a plus. I looked at other mice with rechargeable batteries and that would be a good feature, but I'm using rechargeable batteries in this mouse that I charge in a standard charger.

Despite the fact that this is a small mouse designed for laptop travel, it fits well in big hands and handles like a full size mouse. I'm very happy with this purchase and recommend this mouse for anyone who needs a traveller and likes bluetooth.

Great Mouse with only 2 gripes4
This is a great mouse that looks better than I thought it would and functions extremely well. It seems to "sleep" after several minutes (around 10?) of disuse, but sliding it around a little is sufficient to re-establish contact with my laptop, meaning I don't have to click it, a requirement that reviewers of other mice noted as a hassle since you might click on something you didn't mean to. It tracks very well and is comfortable to use. In applications that support its use (Excel does but Word doesn't) the horizontal scrolling is excellent.

For those who might care: I use mine with an Apple MacBook.

2 gripes: First the company. I have loved everything I've purchased from Kensington, but I HATE companies that provide a way to contact them with comments or questions (say, through their web site) but do not respond in any way when you use the provided avenue. If they're not going to even acknowledge that I exist, I wish they wouldn't pretend they want my feedback. How hard could it be to at LEAST generate an automated response thanking me for my input or question and noting that they're far too busy to respond, but rest assured that my comments will be read by people who have some say in company policy and/or product development.

Second: The reason I tried to contact Kensington is that I bought from them because of their most excellent MouseWorks application that allows wonderful customization of my USB Mouse from them, but this Bluetooth mouse apparently does not support the app. (or vice versa). I'm stuck with some pretty basic choices for cusomization and desperately miss being able to program the buttons to execute keystrokes (for "copy" and "paste" for instance). If there's a way to use MouseWorks with this mouse, I can't find it; and Kensington isn't talking.

So far so good on my mac5
I have had the mouse for a couple of weeks and so far it is working really well with my MacBook. I had bought a Apple Mighty Mouse, but the scroll wheel on the mighty mouse stopped working, so I bought this one.

The Kensington set up right away over bluetooth. The four way scrolling works fine. The mouse is smaller than a typical mouse but is comfortable in my hand.

For me the advantage of bluetooth, with no USB dongle, outweighs any other downsides to the mouse.
