Customer Reviews

Please invest in a better cooker!1
We received this rice cooker as a Christmas gift and replacement for one broken on our move back from Korea. Immediately, we had issues. I found it almost impossible to make decent, wet or sticky rice without burning the bottom. The warmer feature always burned the bottom, making it useless. After a month or so, the seal on the lid broke, unexplainably, and we had to jury rig it to make it work. Finally, in May, the whole thing just quit working one night. We make a lot of rice and maybe this thing wasn't meant for every or every other day use. I don't know, but I do not recommend it!

Decent Rice Cooker4
I've had my Oster for about 3 months and make rice in it once a week or more. I often make 1-2 cups of rice and use water. The rice isn't quite what I expected but the convenience of having it made without an additional thought is incredible. The cooker always browns the rice on the bottom slightly for a bit of crispy rice that I sometimes enjoy.

Simple and inexpensive4
I really like this cooker. We make alot of sushi and it does the rice perfectly. We also use it for everyday rice quite often. I've never had a problem of it burning my rice so long as I don't leave it on "warm" to long. I've had it for over a year and have never had any problems. If you are looking for an inexpensive rice cooker that still does a decent job, this is the one to use.
