Yes, the books have flaws, but overall, there's just SOMETHING about them which draws you in and keeps you reading. I'm not one of the masses of obsessed women, but I think that these books are worth the read. And holy crap, Breaking Dawn was SO much better than I thought, and completely, 100% satisfying.

But when I read it a few years later, I was completely blown away. These books are poignant and touching, and are proof of the mastery of Pullman's storytelling. Just brilliant.
