Originally, Optimus Prime ruled Cybertron alongside Megatron, although after Megatron revealed his mechanical scheme to yoke the power of the Allspark for himself, Optimus rallied a group of Cybertronian noncombatants into an unfortunately ineffective militia. As a contingency plan, Prime jettisoned the Allspark into space, and at a later point in the Autobot/Decepticon conflict, Prime gathered his troops with the intention of locating and reclaiming the Allspark.

Very Cool for collectors!
I bought this more than 3 weeks ago in a supermarket near my house, which sells good quality toys. I was amazed when I first saw it but then became a little disappointed when I read it didn't "transform". However, I think this is only for decoration or to keep it as a collector's item. It's tall, durable; when you press a button he speaks and says: "It's time to stop some Decepticons", "I am Optimus Prime!", "Autobots, transform and roll out!", "Fire!" and one more line I still haven't figured out yet, since my mother tongue is not English. Interestingly, when he says these lines, you can see his eyes turning blue.



Also, if you press a button he fires his right fist, and then you can put it back again. He has a gun or something like that on his left arm, which you can press and there's a light and sounf effect, which I find very cool.



All in all, I love this toy. Good for kids and grown-ups. I love how it looks! My friends have seen it and they love it! Here in my country it costs more than 30 dollars, so you people have it at a good price. Don't miss it!

Great fun for Transformer fans!
This is a great toy to enjoy creating your own adventures. Fun to grab after seeing the movie. Just want you would want from a Transformer toy. No complicated transformations so just right for playing around the house. You might be saying 'what' it doesn't transform? And you like it? Yes. The ones that actually transform were not fun to play with. As soon as you tried to 'attack' they would accidentally be 'transformed' in your hand and made it impossible to play with WITHOUT holding 'parts' together. Have fun playing!
