You get what you put into it!
This isn't a toy for young kids nor is it meant to be. It's really geared for big kids/adults that want the next generation of slot cars with super detailed racing and the ability to race up to six cars at once! There is a very helpful online community as well as top notch customer service in the US.

The most common complaints are that there is a fairly steep learning curve (especially learning to how to properly maintain the cars and track) and the track itself takes up tons of space compared to the old tyco sets I grew up with as a kid.

These caveats aside I'm thrilled with my purchase and have never regretted my decision to go with SCX. Any problems I've had were promptly resolved by customer service and/or free replacements (for defective items)have been mailed to me in short order. Couldn't be happier!

Great Fun
I am not sure what the other reviewer is reviewing, but I have had nothing but fun with the Pit Box set with my 10 yr old son. It is amazing how it counts the laps and keeps track of your fuel consumption, not too mention the ability to race on the same slot and change to pass.

This was an amazing experience - VERY BAD
I bought this slot car toy and did not work, i live in Brasil, sent an email to the manufacturer and did not have any response back. The slot car does not work ! What should i do ?
