Go Granny, Go!!!!5
We picked up a Medline rollator (the blue one with folding wheels) for my grandmother-in-law about a month ago and could not be more pleased with both the quality of the product and with the incredible increase in her quality of living since then. If you have a parent or grandparent who needs the help of a walker, do them and your whole family a huge favor and don't hesitate to get them one of these immediately!

For a few years now, we've watched her struggle with one of those depressing old gray folding walkers with the tennis balls on the back (yes, you know the one). As anyone who's seen that setup knows, while the tennis balls do an ok job on hardwood floors and linoleum, they actually make it much, much harder to push across carpet, concrete, cracks in tiles, etc. That in conjunction with the small, crummy wheels on those old units ensures that grass, gravel and soil are not options at all.

Her new rollator has changed the game. She's now riding over grass, dirt, gravel, and anything that gets in her way, with total control and with little or no friction to impede her travels. This rollator is built solid, runs very smooth, turns on a dime, and has a great braking system. She hasn't been this mobile in years, and she's getting a lot more exercise than she was able to before!

I was impressed as soon as I pulled it out of the box. The quality of the materials on this unit is astounding. The paint job is top-notch (it's sparkly enough to look great, but not so sparkly that it's too flashy), and every detail is considered. They even have little dust covers on the brake mechanisms close to the wheels. I imagine that Medline must be doing an incredible amount of volume, because I don't know how else they could afford to sell it so cheap. These materials are of the highest quality and it feels sturdy enough to survive years of grandkids using it as a toy while grandma rests on the sofa. No kidding; they think it's cool.

The handles are comfortable and very ergonomic - they sort of flatten out on the inside to rest your palms on - and the hand brakes have nice leverage and are very easy to squeeze, even for arthritic hands. She can also push the brake levers easily in the opposite direction, and the brakes click into a locked position so the rollator remains stable while she turns around and sits down on the padded seat.

In the seated position, she likes that she can rest her arms comfortably on the handles. She often uses this as her chair at the dinner table. The seat padding is thick and very comfortable, and the backrest is at a comfortable height for her.

Another cool feature is the removable basket located under the seat. It's very convenient and has done wonders for her sense of independence, specifically at the grocery store. She used to walk along with her husband, pick things out, and put them in his cart. Now, she just runs off to her own aisles, flips up the seat and drops stuff into the basket along the way. When she's done, the basket easily lifts right out and she puts it on the checkout stand and voila! She's ready to go. The rollator is also light enough for my grandfather-in-law to easily pick up and put in the trunk.

RECOMMENDED: We also got her the Medline folding cane (an equally great product, model # MDS86430W) which fits perfectly into the little basket below the seat of the rollator so she can just whip it out when she needs to climb stairs or get into tighter spaces. This accessory along with the rollator makes for the perfect one-two punch and I highly recommend them together.

Bottom line is that this rollator is a great product that will change the way people are able to live. It's built incredibly well and priced fairly in my experience. On top of all that, it's actually looks very nice too. I'm glad there are options for older folks to still get the exercise they need instead of giving up on their health in one of those powered scooters. Thank you, Medline, for putting out a quality product at an affordable price.

Excellent walker... 5
I ordered this walker for my father a few months ago and am well-pleased. It is much less expensive than comparable walkers. The cushioned seat and basket are handy for long "trips" and the wheels roll smoothly even over grassy areas. A good buy for someone looking for a quality walker. Even ships for free!

I love my little cart.5
The rollater is very handy, not a bit cumbersome, but sturdy. And it's good looking. When my friends come to visit they all dash over to the cart to try it out. I recently had a bout with Sciatica, walking was unbearable, but the little cart came to my rescue. I am grateful to Amazon, for helping so many folks and for such an unbelievable price.
