FINALLY! A COVER I'LL KEEP!! READ THIS & SAVE YOURSELF TIME & MONEY
This is my THIRD cover & I'm finally happy! I will list the PRO's & CON's

PRO'S:
1)*It IS leather and smells like it too. I KNOW leather and this is the real deal. The stitching is also very good quality.
2.)*Stands up perfectly for reading at restaurants etc..
3.)*Is compact while it STILL protects the K1 (the M-Edge added at least an inch or two to the overall size- I like the K1 b/c it's small & didn't want a cover that would make it larger)
4.)*I love the pink and quite frankly did not think I would but they were out of the red. It's a nice SOFT color pink. Very classy yet fun. I didn't want black b/c it would be too easy for me to forget (ie: looks like the check holder at a restaurant or would be too hard for me to see in my dark purse).
5.)*The inside leather is grey and looks good with the pink but doesn't rub off on the Kindle. Beware of the cheaper version of this cover that turns your Kindle colors (not good for resale value) READ REVIEWS
6.)* It folds compactly when closed and when open, it folds flat for easy reading. The M-Edge is bulky & had a tendancy to open up like a regular book.
7.)*The metal closure snaps AND is magnetic for more durable closure. (I'm not sure what the other reviewer meant that it would come open. I use mine all day - every where I can (gym, salon's, etc. and it doesn't come open at all -even in my purse.)
8.)* Tuns off easy b/c the top right edge has enough room to get to the button. (It's the best they could do with the poor placement of the K1 on/off switch)

CONS:
* The only con is that the top tab COULD be longer to hold the top of the Kindle in bette OR it could have an extra strap on the top side but other than that - it's PERFECT and the two bottom straps hold well enough. I liked the M-Edge with all the straps but hated un-strapping it to turn it off.

FOR THE POOL OR BEACH USE - I DO RECOMMEND THE M-EDGE LEISURE COVER. IT'S GREAT TOO!

OK for a light Kindle user
I purchased this cover as a gift for a friend. The description says it is leather and it feels like leather, but doesn't smell like leather. It is a bit stinky like vinyl, but that might be the glue binding the internal fabric to the leather. Nonetheless, it is very nice and smooth and feels like leather - it feels nice in the hands, but not so soft I would worry about scratches. I ordered the pink color, and it is a very pretty and pleasing shade of pink. I tried my Kindle in it and it sits pretty well in the case when it is open. When closed, it felt a little tight on the top. I suppose that is a good thing, so it wont slide out, but it took some effort to close the case at first. I imagine it will stretch out a bit with use.

I especially like the little stand on the back. If you don't like holding your Kindle constantly while you are reading (Or you have problems holding it for a long period of time) the stand is a good solution. It holds the Kindle at a good reading angle and is nice and strong.

There are two things I don't care for on this product: First is the snap on the cover. It is a magnetic snap, which I think will come undone easily. This could be a problem if you are carting your Kindle around in a bag or purse. The snap could get knocked open pretty easily. If you are like me and are hard on your Kindle, you may want to consider a cover with a stronger snap. It is odd, though, that the snaps holding the pop-out stand to the cover are very nice, tight snaps, but they used a lighter magnetic snap for the cover. Second, the side buttons are exposed (Since the cover comes around the top) Again, if you are hard on your kindle and cart it around in a purse or backpack, this may not be a good choice. I can see stuff in my purse smacking into the buttons and perhaps damaging them over time.

Otherwise, I like the product. My friend is a gentle Kindle user, so I think it will be perfect for her. For me, I would prefer something more rugged.

New cover for my kindle
I love it. I can hold on to my kindle as if it doesn't have a cover on it. The previous covers I had were like books but I didn't want to bend it back around so it was sort of awkward depending on the way I was relaxing. This cover is awesome.
