Beautiful but...
The case itself is quite beautiful but does not give 100% protection. It does not hold the Kindle 2 tightly enough in place at the top. When I placed my Kindle 2 in the case and turned it upside down the Kindle 2 slides out with ease. If they had put the snap closure on the top, giving all 4 sides some type of protection, this case would be perfect. Having no closure on the top is totally unacceptable considering it slides out with little effort. If you put this case and Kindle 2 into your back pack or pocket book and accidentally pull it out from the bottom expect a fall unless you have quick hands. Being aware of this issue has saved my Kindle 2 from a spill. I read the other reviews on this product and their Kindle fit snug, unfortunately mine does not. I would send the case back but the shipping is not free and it would cost me $45 to send back to the U.K. since I live in the U.S.

A Great Cover for the Kindle!
I purchased this case for my Kindle 2, and I love it. It is very well made. I like that it's black so that I didn't have to purchase a separate skin for my K2. (Having the black background around the screen makes the "paper" appear more white, and the screen is easier to read.)
I like that the cover has a place for notes, a pen or pencil, and a business card. It snaps closed securely, and it holds the Kindle in place.
I turned it upside down and gave it a shake, and my Kindle stayed in.
All the buttons are easy to touch as they aren't covered.
Love this case.

Perfect case cover
I have been using this case for over 2 months and it is perfect for use with Kindle 2. It protects it very well, holds it securely, you can get to all the controls and ports with no problem.
