Great product for the price
After spending almost $500 on my DX, I didn't want to spend another $100 on a case to carry it around. The "official" Kindle case was appealing but I was concerned about all the reports of the attaching elements damaging Kindles and $50 is a lot of money to spend on a boring looking (probably fake) leather case. I was also leery about the M-Edge $50 cases although they are real leather and come in beautiful colors, due to poor design (who wants a leather closure tab where all your buttons are on the right side?). So, when I stumbled upon the Kroo fake leather (still boring) case, I decided to give it a try since it was cheap and the tab is on the left side where there are no buttons.

I was pleasantly surprised at how it looks, feels, and functions. If you're not insisting on real leather, this is a great option. The case fits well, the cover folds back easily when reading, and the tab is out of the way. The fake leather looks and feels like real leather and the logo on the front is attractive. The interior is a sueded grey fabric and there's a holder for a pen in the middle and flap on the left for small papers. The case is slim and does not add much bulk to the device, yet provides good protection as it is slightly larger than the device, providing some protection to corners should you drop it. I can also access all buttons and charge the DX without removing the case. Very functional and a great deal.

I also have a neoprene sleeve for the DX and the splash proof case from Octo. I would not recommend the neoprene sleeve since it's a hassle to take it off every time I need to charge or use the device. The Octo case was a a good investment and I use that whenever I read on our sailboat, at the beach, or at the pool. With the addition of the Kroo case, I'm set.
