Customer Reviews

Does the job, just not all that well3
We bought this under-sink organizer with the high hope that it would transform the growing collection of soap bottles, sponges, dish detergent tablets and cleaning product bottles under our kitchen sink into a neatly organized masterpiece....and it did. Sort of. The unit comes unassembled and putting it together was a chore -- if you have an S pipe (or any pipe, really) under your sink, you have to put part of it together before you put it under there, then assemble the rest while it's in place under your sink. Cramming my head under the sink and kneeling on my kitchen floor for 10 minutes wasn't exactly what I had in mind when I bought this thing. Once assembled, you clip on the shelving pieces, which are not incredibly sturdy, but are at least movable so you can create an opening on the second tier if you need to for a taller bottle on the first shelf, etc. On the bottom shelf we have a box of dish detergent pods, some sterno cans, a box of zipper-top baggies, dish soap and a few rolls of garbage bags, and that's about all the weight it will hold since the entire unit is made of plastic. Even the nuts and bolts. However, once it was assembled and we put neatly arranged our clutter on the shelves, it does look fantastic under our sink - things are now easier to spot and within reach. For $20, it's worth getting -- just don't expect it to hold too much. And FYI, I was shopping at Bed, Bath & Beyond this weekend and they have the identical thing for only $15...and sometimes they do those "$5 off any $15 purchase" coupons, so you may just be able to get it for $10 there.

I love these shelves!4
In response to the review that was not expecting to have to assemble this around the piping under the sink, I have to say that the entire point of these shelves is to work around piping so you can utilize space. That is impossible to do if you are sent a ready-to-go set of shelves. Even if just the frame is pre-assembled, you might not be able to angle it under your pipes/garbage disposal if they go down too far. So, yes, you have to sit on the floor to put it together, but it's not very difficult and can be done in a few minutes.

The shelves are plastic, but I haven't had any issues with them not holding the weight of the items I put on them. I do wish the panels themselves were solid (so that there were half as many slits on a row of them slid together). I find they slide and clip just fine, despite the fact that there are two different thicknesses on the expandable frame.

There are two versions (I think this review is for the large, or "kitchen" set), and I chose the "kitchen" over the "bathroom" set both times and it works in both my bathrooms.

My only qualm about this is that I wish it came with a couple more shelf panels. It helps if you have more than one set, though. I have one in my kitchen, which uses less because of the garbage disposal, and then another in my bathroom, which has the extra panels from the first.

I definitely recommend this set. I eventually want to get more for my other bathroom and the extra under-the-counter cabinets in my kitchen. I can also think of more uses around the house; anywhere where you need cheap shelving.

excellent concept, design and funtional5
I originally purchased this for the kitchen sink but it found its perfect home in the bathroom. You place the shelves at the exact heights and width needed depending on what you want stored, it assembles around any piping and then finish by placing the white shelf pieces in place. Things are not so cluttered underneath the bathroom sink. I'm happy I bought it.
