Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com Review
Measuring 3-1/2 inches, this handy little knife is a true kitchen essential. Ideal for trimming, peeling, and removing blemishes on fruits and vegetables, its small size and nimble profile excel at any task that prizes delicacy, dexterity, and control. As a part of Chicago Cutlery’s Walnut Tradition line of cutlery, this knife combines high performance with excellent value. Stamped rather than forged for lighter weight and a more reasonable price, the blade is made from high-carbon, 420 stainless steel with carbon to keep edges sharper longer and chromium to resist rust and stains, while Chicago’s exclusive Taper Grind edge produces impressively precise slices and retains its sharpness well over time. A full tang extends from the tip of the knife to the end of the handle for improved balance and strength. A comfortable walnut handle offers the rich warmth of wood and a classic look; it’s securely held to the blade with triple-compression brass rivets for added safety and stability. Chicago Cutlery covers their knives with a lifetime guarantee; they recommend hand-washing and drying for best results. --Mary Park

Customer Reviews

Better than a sharp rock3
Well, the steel seems to be high quality, and holds a nice edge, but there just isn't much of it. The blade is quite thin, the handle (said to be walnut) is quite light, and the knife has to be treated with care as a result. My wife has already bent the tip, tightening her eyeglass screws with it (Aaargh!) Balance in the hand? Forget about it: this is a feather light, get-what-you-pay-for knife. A "fair deal."

Little cutter5
This is a handy little paring knife fot those tasks that don need a chef's knife, The blade is sharp and take an edge well. The handles are walnut, attractive and a good grip. It has a full tang and seems well built.

Not expensive and works5
For $8 or so what do you expect? It sharpens well enough, stays sharp well enough, the handle is ok. All in all a good value
