Instead of the single wire utilized by most cheese slicers, this one has a sharp, solid stainless steel blade for cutting through a variety of cheeses. The 7 x 5.25-in. base is perfectly sized to hold a standard block of cheese while the 7.75-in. long curved handle offers substantial leverage and a comfortable grip. On the bottom of the cheese slicer are four non-skid grips to prevent slipping. Dishwasher-safe.

The blade is flimsy. You are better off using a knife than this particular device.

I had to wait awhile for this to be shipped as this item was out of stock. It was well worth the wait. I love my cheese slicer with the blade instead of a wire.

not the best cheese cutter
I found that the cheese stuck to the blade. Surface was too small for a block of cheese. I would not recommend this product.
