my god! what ever you do don not buy!
i thought this cheap trainer would be just perfect for me to practice my skills, but gues what no!!! This is probably one of the crappiest blades ever made! the blade is fine but the handle is absolutely horribble!!!The handle is made of cheap metal called zmak a zinc alloy. After just 2 days of flipping, 2 DAYS!!! The handle just snapped clean, two pieces. And not to mention it wouldnt have lasted anyways because the lock and the clips are very fragile and does not hold! very loose bad for begginers. overall this should get a NO star, if you still want this get the 3 pack. All in wrap, this thing totally SUCKS!!!if u want a good blade check out benchmade or Bear and son Cutley, a bit expensive but worth it.

Worst knife i have ever owned
Well, when i opened the package and pulled the knife out of the box, it was quite heavy, after flipping it a few times i realized how extremely cheap it was, after about 30 minutes of playing with it, the pin that holds the latching handle to the blade snapped causing the handle to fly across the room and almost break a window, i don't recommend this balisong at all, this item deserves a -3 rating.

GREAT FOR BEGINNERS
If you are new to balisong work, then this trainer is an excellent way to safely figure things out. the weight is okay, and there is NO WAY you will cut yourself on this thing.

my only complaint is, after 5 or 10 hours of practice, the unit started getting exceptionally loose and "floppy." the rivets are rather cheap, and just wear out fast. perhaps their rationale is that, after that many hours, you're ready for the real thing... but i thought that this would be a little sturdier than it turned out to be.
