The great part about this scale is that the part with the digital readout actually pulls out from the scale. You can see it easily under plates, etc.

This little number is for our morning reading. It used to drive me crazy -- but, now I enjoy it each day. Also considered essential.

Here's a cheap set -- anything will do. I recommend getting whatever makes you smile. I love my bright orange ones. They don't match a darn thing in my kitchen, but they make me happy.

I don't particularly recommend these salt shakers, but Tupperware has a one piece unit that holds both salt and pepper that is great. I found that since I wasn't eating any sauces, I wanted salt and pepper handy whenever I ate -- whether at home or on the road.
