Track baking temperatures with precision, using this clip-on Good Grips oven thermometer from Oxo. Designed to attach to an oven rack either above or below, the sturdy dial-face unit lets you gauge when your oven is ready or whether the temperature has dropped. The clip and casing are made from stainless steel, and the face is frosted glass so oven light shines through for easy reading. Calibrated for accuracy, the thermometer displays both the Fahrenheit scale (200 to 500 degrees) and the Celsius scale (100 to 300 degrees). Easy to Read Oven Thermometer
The frosted glass face of this oven thermometer makes it very easy to read the oven temperature with the oven light turned on without needing to open the oven door, excellent for preventing heat loss that occurs if the door needs to be opened to read the thermometer. It stands in an easy to read position if mounted above the oven rack, and the clips are easy to use. When mounted under the oven rack the thermometer tilts slightly away from view making the temperature a bit difficult to read at that angle, and thus a 4 star rating instead of 5. When comparing this product to others on the market, this is my favorite thermometer in it's price range.

WAY too slow registering temp
Although I love the way it clips onto the oven rack, and it's VERY easy to read, it took about 15-20 minutes to "register" the temperature of the oven.

Registers 100 degrees too high
Since I have many OXO items in my home, I thought that the OXO oven thermometer would also be good. Boy was I wrong! When the oven beeped to say that it had reached its temperature, the thermometer didn't read anywhere near what it should read. It took about 20 minutes for the thermometer to finally read what the oven temp was set at. Then, to make things worse, the OXO thermometer started registering at least 100 degrees above what we set the oven for. I have since bought a cheaper but reliable thermometer name which is registering just fine. In the meantime, I've had to recalibrate my oven several times to make up for the drastic readings the OXO gave me. Sorry I ever bought it to begin with.
