Customer Reviews
This CD Is AWESOME
The songs on this cd make up for the bands that try to imitate and copy those other bands. This band has compassion for their fans and enjoy doing what they do. They even greet their fans and even sign autographs for them. I have had the priveledge of meeting them three times within the past year. Imaginary is the best song on this cd. Siren on the 101 is a quick second. But the songs on here are phenominal. BUY THIS CD.
a solid commercially appealing release
This Orange County outfit by way of Virginia have been together since the fall of 1998 and even though they are on the younger side with ages ranging from 20 to 23, their music may lead others to believe they are wise beyond their years. They have a sound that draws inspiration from bands like PENNYWISE and NAME TAKEN except maybe with less insincerity and certainly more maturity. What we have here is another take on rock driven popish punk with snappy beats and all-consuming infectious choruses that thankfully, don't sound too generic. Their sound and aura is primed for commercial appeal but they never let themselves get caught up in the void of being just another factory created pop punk band. Instead, they added some fierce grooves and anything but bland harmonies that feature heartrending guitarwork that descends and ascends to expansive heights and depths just before a grand chorus is introduced. These well thought out songs continue from track to track, which create a serious sense of continuity and fluidity. For once, it seems like a band took the time to write great songs in a genre that doesn't allow too much creativity.
Excellent CD
This CD is AWESOME. I originally found out about Over it from a Rufio show. I was bored one night and had a friend come with me to see Rufio. I researched a little on Over It and thought they were pretty good. When they hit the stage I was suprised. They were on tee on all songs. All the sounds were catchy but not crappy Good Charlotte pop punk. The songs have substance. I grabbed the CD and keep listening to it. "Shine", "Siren on the 101", and "Waiting" are the best on the CD.
I highly suggest Over It's "Silverstrand". Pick it up now before they get big. I can see them blowing up soon.
