Album Description
"Outer Banks" is a buried treasure that has been hidden for years. This album is comprised of the long out-of-print and largely sought after EPs, "Over It" and "Hindsight is Always 20/20," digitally re-mastered, and with brand new artwork that is a companion piece to Over It "Welcome to Virginia: The Ready Series." These songs were written when Over It were all in High School in a suburb of Washington DC, and span the time when they entered into young adulthood. That growth is mirrored in the music that this seminal emopunk band played, inspiring dozens of bands in the process. On "Outer Banks," Over It transforms themselves from a band mixing pop-punk and mid-90s emo into a band that has found their sound in fast, technical, hard-hitting yet melodic rock that is now commonly known as emopunk. You can also hear hints of the mid-tempo masterpieces Over It would write after moving from Virginia to California, including an acoustic version of their classic song, "Fall." "Outer Banks" is a must have for any Over It fan to get an inside glimpse into their early years and the development of their signature sound.

Shows the talent
Talk about a hard to find cd. Over it is a great band(besides thier latest release) and this is some good, raw, fast melodic punk music...the way it should be. Only thing is the second half of the cd(from the Ready Series) is just to raw sounding for me. I only listen to the first 5 songs(re-released from Hindsight is 2020) which are stupidly good. THis really shows where Over it came from and were the groundworks for great albums like "Timing..." and "Silverstrand". Truly is a hidden gem
