Pure genius
This lid has finally made carrying around my stainless steel water bottle as easy as those old plastic ones. It is so convenient to have the handle. I loop it on one finger and my car keys on the other and am good to go. The spout works great I think because there is a little vent piece that seems to equalize the pressure inside so it doesn't make it too hard to open or close. Plus, I don't have to unscrew the lid to take a drink. When on my bottle, it does not leak. I've tipped it to try. I also use it on my other bottles of a different brand and it fits great. The three pack is helpful if one lid is still in the dishwasher. Good job Klean Kanteen!

Great for eliminating spills
I really like my Klean Kanteen, but I found that I spilled the water on myself often when drinking without a lid. These sport caps are great for eliminating the spills, especially while driving in the car.

I gave 4 stars rather than 5 because of the awful sound it produces when drinking from it. It almost reminds me of a turkey or something like that. You can cover the hole/rubber stopper thing with your finger to minimize the sound. I now drink without the cap while in the office (share an office with somebody) and use the cap at all other times.

Leaks
I got the Klean Kanteen Sport Cap because for the Klean Kanteen water bottles that I got from LLBean, you had to unscrew the cap and drink from the bottle itself and the mouth of the bottle is wide. The sports cap answers that problem and is great in every respect except it leaks no matter how tightly I screw it on. If it falls on its side in my pack it leaks inside the pack. Also, it makes a whistling noise when you drink from it. I saw a suggestion that it whistles when the cap is screwed on too tight. But why would I want to loosen it up when it leaks? Still, it allows me to drink from the bottle without unscrewing the cap and that's a plus.
