Product Description

The Native III has a Bi-Directional textured handle molded of FRN. It has a VG-10 blade that tapers to a spear-point with a distinct wedge-grind that reduces weight and adds overall balance. An ambidextrous tension wire clip is easy on a cloth pocket and positions the folder for tip-up carry.

Customer Reviews

Awesome knife- just bought another5
I bought this knife after a long search for a compact, useful pocket knife. It quickly earned its place in my pocket. The ergonomic design leads to confident and safe usage- I appreciate the knurled thumb ridge along the top, as well as the trigger-shaped indentations on the lower edge. It balances well in the hand and opens easily with a large thumb-hole for one-handed operation.

Shortly after receiving the knife, I apparently left it out somewhere and it was quickly "lost". No doubt someone saw its unique design and snatched it up. I'm here to buy a replacement and decided to write a review first.

Typical Spyderco Quality5
Like the Delica and Endura, the Native is a very high quality knife for the price point. The blade is excellent, the lock is sturdy (although you should always practice safe knife handling), the wire clip is better than the Spyderco Delica's even if it is only left-right reversible and not up-down as well, it has excellent ergonomics, smooth one-handed operation, and isn't heavy at all despite the chunky blade. The thick blade and handle would make this great for heavier cutting.

I couldn't decide between this and the Delica and eventually ended up getting both, and loving both. You can't go wrong with either.

The perfect knife?5
I've owned this gem for a little over a month and this is hands down the best knife I've owned. Tight construction, first class materials, and of course a sharp, quality VG-10 blade make a keeper. I chose this model over the regular Native simply for the 3D FRN handle - it fits your hand perfectly.
