"Cream of the Crop"5
This book is far superior to any of the others. This is the only book that gives complete instruction. Many of the other books do not want you to know their "trade secrets", so they leave steps out. But, this lady is a true teacher and she gives of all she knows. I began knotting to increase my mental and physical dexterity after an auto accident. Not being able to accomplish something can be very depressing. Susan Millodot takes away all the mystery!

Remember that any beautiful art takes a great deal of time and effort to learn. You must be patient with yourself. And, you must practice one thing at a time. And, practice every day. If you do this, and follow Susan's greatly illustrated directions, you will be achieving better tension and more beautiful knots as time passes. And, you can do it fairly quickly.

My hat goes off to a very encouraging and sharing teacher, person and author! I am so very grateful that she wrote this book and wish I could thank her personally.

Complex, Beautiful Knots Demystified5
This book is a beginner's dream introduction to knotting. Complete with clear, concise step-by-step directions and large color photos of each step, this text is sure to be an enjoyable resource to anyone looking to learn how to achieve beautiful knot work designs on the first try. I personally am applying many of the designs to some hemp work, so the contents are easily modifiable to your own creative ideas. There are "patterns" you can follow but these are secondary and the book focuses on showing you the main techniques so you can apply them however you like in your own works.

Chinese Knots for Beaded Jewelry4
If you forgot how to do all those macrame knots from your younger years this is a great book to help.

Take a beautiful focal bead, add a cord and instead of just letting it dangle around your neck, this book will teach you how to create Chinese Knots to embellish a cord around your bead and create a work of art. Included are close up step by step pictures in full color to help guide you along the way. It is a very helpful addition to my jewelry making library.
